The staff at Faroese Meteorology Office (Veðurstova Føroya)  are happy to welcome you to the 34th Nordic Meteorologist Meeting 2026 in Tórshavn, for the first time in Faroe Islands.

The meeting will be open to all, and we hope to see a mixture of duty weather forecasters, scientists or researchers in climate and meteorology, as well as everybody generally interested in “weather, climate, observations, modelling and forecasting". There will also be sessions with focus on the "state of sea" and "Meteorology in search and rescue (SAR) operations”, as Veðurstovan is part of the organization Vørn, which is also responsible for the Faroese fishery inspection and marine rescue service.

We would like to encourage you to participate in the meeting, and we welcome presentations either as a talk or asa poster in order to facilitate discussions on the topics.
